We have been looking at a property in Albanchez to buy and retire to.  Can any one give me a general idea of cost for two people per month living in Spain as I have seen many various amounts.  Also within the English expat community in Albanchez are there social gatherings or clubs.

Thank you :)

Hi Gill,

This isn't an easy one!

How long is a piece of string? The cost of living is relative to your lifestyle and you will get wildly varied responses, all correct, but all personal. I would say that if you can afford to live comfortably in the UK you will do the same here with the benefit of winter sunshine. Some things are cheaper and some more expensive, as I say it depends on your lifestyle.

Of course, you will have to meet the financial requirements for residency, but I'm sure you know that, and it's a separate issue.

I hope you find the right place for you.

Yvonne.
