symptoms and side effects after havin an aneurism

My wife had a ruptured blood vessel on her brain 6 weeks ago. She has all her faculties, fortunately and is making a remarkable recovery.
I would just like to know if anyone else or their relatives/friends have suffered this fate.
I would like to know if it is normal for her to still keep having severe headaches, ear aches, accute hearing, light sensitivity, hightened senses
(smell, hearing etc), and lots and lots of sleep (sometimes 16 hours per day on and off).
The local doctor said this is perfectly normal after such a serous procedure, I would like to know what you have experienced.
She is not due back at hospital (I assume for a scan) until December 4th. She takes 8 pills per day.
