How will I get all my current medication when I move to Albox
We are retiring to Albox or as near as possible in August 2020 but I am on a lot of medication and I am concerned about how I will get my medication once we are living in Spain.

Hi we bought our 81 yrs old dad with us and what we had to do was to register the S1 form you get from the uk with the local social security and then present the form they give you to Albox medical centre. Once you get your green Spanish card you then go to your nearest doctor to register and take what medication you take and they will give you a prescription for every thing. Long process so make sure you bring sufficient medication with you. Good luck and if you need anything further pm me. Tina
The majority of medication, excluding certain pain killers & psychotropic drugs, are available from pharmacies OTC.( over the counter). Obviously some are.more expensive than others especially when you have been at zero cost in UK.
I thought that as OAP retirees you needed to get your Residencia.before signing on at the social, receiving a card and.then approaching a Health Centre but ours were over a decade ago.
You will want to expedite the system so suggest you contact CAT Services of El Alfoquia just 10km from.Albox who can give you a factual step by step guide and organise everything for a fee.
Best Wishes,
