My husband and I visited a week ago and stayed in Finca Listonero. We looked at a couple of properties in Cortijo Grande and walked around the area. We absolutely love it and would like to buy.

We have some questions however based on some things we'very read about. Any help for us to find out more would be gratefully received.

The town appears not to be  part of or covered by the nearest council for the purpose of roads, water supply or infrastructure. What impact does that have on residents and homeowners and how are facilities, repairs, upgrades etc paid for? Is there a town tax or factor who looks after the aforementioned. How does this work?

We noticed much concern on Facebook faces about water levels, sewage pipes and leakages. Is this a major concern and to what extent does it impact on general living?

Finally, fire is no doubt a concern in summer but how much of a threat is this generally?

Can anyone in Cortijo Grande recommend an internet provider to me.  I am currently with Telitec and find them very expensive, especially as I

can no longer suspend my account with them when back in the U.K.  I will be in Spain in September and am keen to get connected with a new provider.

We are looking to purchase a property in the valley next month. We love the tranquility and location but we have 3 questions.

1 Are problems with flooding serious. 2 Is basic water supply throught the year a constant problem. 3 Is crime a problem in the area.
