Hello, our daughter is considering buying a property in Cortijo Grande. Is there any chance at all that the valley could be used for industrial/farming/greenhouse agriculture in the future? Thankyou.

Collapse of old bowling club wall. - 1 replies
Hi All,
Just returned to the area after four years away and was shocked to see the state of the old bowling club.
When did this happen and what is on the cards to clear up the site?
Many thanks.

Cortijo Grande reparcelation project? - 0 replies
On the Turre ayuntamiento website you can find the description of a project that is going on for Cortijo Grande for a few years, apparently, though I had never heard of it before.
Have a look at the 3 documents listed on this page:
Especially the project description (pdf): https://www.turre.es/Servicios/Tablon/anexos.nsf/0E10E11CC55864F2C125891900291D10/$file/PROYECTO+ANEXO%20DILIGENCIADO%20DATOS%20PERSONALES%20DISOCIADOS.pdf
To me it looks like a big part of CG is being developed, by a company in Madrid "Batch Bros", and numerous houses (68) will be built (see pic).
I thought all development in CG was halted because “there is no urbanization plan in place”. Is there an urbanization plan now? Anyone know what is happening?
Considering buying in Cortijo Grande - 8 replies
My husband and I are seriously considering buying in Cortijo Grande. I've been googling to try and find out as much as possible.
I'd be grateful if someone would kindly answer a few queries...
*what is the Upkeep Fund? How does it work? and what are it's associated costs?
*I've read much about water outages...what is the current situation? Is it still possible to be without water? Is it potable?
*what is the mix of nationalities? I ask this because I'd love to be able to mix with both Spanish and English speakers.
*I've also read about subsidence issues...is this correct?
That's a lot to ask of you, I know! But any information would be gratefully appreciated...I guess there's nothing in this life without risk but well....I'm sure you understand...it's our savings we'll be investing! We want to be as "safe" as we can be when purchasing.
Thank you in advance,
Janet

Hello to everyone in Cortijo Grande - 0 replies
Hi
We're Peter and Elaine from Scotland. We bought a little house in Cortijo Grande last August and have been out a few times, though mostly when the valley is very quiet so haven't really got to meet very many people yet. We're just back from a week early March and can't believe how beautiful the weather and the valley is.
Our next trips are Easter, June and late August and as we're really keen to get to know our neighbours and find out more about the area, we'd love to hear about any events and clubs nearby.
Kind regards
Can anyone recommend: A handyman who can put a vent in kitchen cabinet to allow me to have a small freezer in it. It would probably need someone with a jig -saw - 1 replies
I bought a small counter top freezer but would prefer it was inside a tall larder cupboard. I have space and electrics there but want it better ventilated so there’s no risk of overheating. Expect I’ll need a couple of vents created in the cabinet side and either top or door. It’s standard kitchen MDF.
