We are moving to Vera please can you tell me what the medical care is like if you have stage 4 cancer and are on Chemo through a stent at certain times of the month.
chemo is usually delivered at the hospital in Heurcal Overa they have a dedicated area with chairs and staff some of whom are really good some not so. Your doctor should make the arrangements for you to attend for the treatment. Good luck and best wishes to you I can sympathise with you as I had to have chemo for my breast cancer and it was horrible and the on going problems it has caused are still bothering me 3 years later.
Sorry to hear you are going thru this. But I would look into timings , Spain is a very laid back country, and you might find you dont get your chemo when its needed, simple because you have to go thru the spanish health system and from experience isn't always the quickest. Perhaps you could arrange thru your doctor to fly back to the Uk once a month to have your chemo (I had a friend that did this),as a back up until you get on the spanish system and get your first appointment.

The Hospital at Huércal Overa cannot give chemo for all types of cancer. For some types you have to go to Torrecádenas Hospital in Almería, which is a 40-50 minute journey. I speak from experience.
Unless you speak good Spanish, you will probably need a translator, not for the chemo administration itself but for any appointments with doctors. Although a lot can speak English they prefer not to (I assume in case something is lost in translation).
I am assuming that you are of pensionable age (in order to be in a position to qualify for state healthcare in Spain) and will therefore be using you S1 to register in the system. Please be aware that this might not be an instant process.
I believe that you also have to renounce your right to state healthcare in the UK if you join the Spanish system.
Just some food for thought......
Good luck
