Myself and my family have arrived today, in a self catering villa. I understand that all super markets are shut today to which I was not advised , can any one advise where I get get essentials such as bread milk ice etc I do not have a car to use

Having just seen this post I suspect it's too late now but a taxi down to Thomas on Mojacar Playa is one option as it's open until 9, 365 days a year. Hope you've managed to get some supplies.
The person who rented you the property should have advised you about the problems of stores not always being open on a Sunday.

Yes I am very disappointed I wasn’t advised the store would be closed ,
Would have been nice to arrive with the essentials would have paid extra but never mind toast and eggs for dinner ! I’ve managed to sort my store shopping out now thank you to another member of this forum
