Hi can anyone help me with some info about almeira. I’m planning on a three month stay we will be coming with our nine year old child and little dog. I really want to make the right choice about the area and where we stay I  was wondering what are the best family areas we will need to be close to a primary school as one month will be in school term time are little dogs welcome on the beaches and just any information or advice would be great. If there is anyone who knows of any good properties that are available to rent that will accept pets that would be fab too.

Thanks

Hi,

Respectfully there are just too many facets to this.query.

1. You have posted.under Vera but is that the area you wish to be in and is it Playa (coast) or town-10km inland?

2. If not Vera then are we talking about that/ this area of the coast OR do you wish inland even going as far as Albox / Arboleas???

3. Will you be driving? Will you be driving down or hiring here? Public transport is minimal to non existent depending on where you are.

4.Is your child Spanish speaking? Having said that I doubt the logistical practicalities of merely turning up at a school.Maybe a parent will reply to that one.

5.What are you hoping.to achieve? If it isn't research for a purchase then it really isn't that interesting an area. At least to us personally.

6. Sounds as.though you will be renting in holiday time. More expensive for obvious reasons.

7. Consider asking these or similar questions on the various Facebook Forums & if in the Albox/ Arboleas area the old Arboleas Forum- www.arboleas.co.uk

and certainly.if you are looking for private rentals.

Best Wishes & Happy New Year,

Bob and Sandra

To add to Bob's good advice.

Dogs are not allowed on the public beaches at anytime and must always be on a lead.

Public liability insurance is needed for your pet also.

There are rental bargains about if you are not insisting trying to get into a holiday beach playa area.

Try thinkspain.com for rentals. You can search from 100€ per month to whatever your budget affords for long term let's, although Popular areas will command a high price.

Good luck 😎
