We aren't there yet, but looking to open a Spanish bank account in the Vera area. If you've had good experience with a particular bank I'd appreciate a reply. TIA

Sabadell

Been with them for years, English speaking and give all the services (loans, insurance, car lease etc)

I would recommend the Expansion account.

You'll need to go to Vera town or Garrucha for the nearest bank as there are none now on Vera Playa.  We go to Cajamar in Vera.

We use Openbank which is Santander's online only bank. I do everything via an app on my phone or from my laptop. I whatsapp them if I have a query and they are normally quick to respond (during office hours). There are no bank charges and you use any Santander ATMs to withdraw money. The Vera Branch is there is you want to speak to someone but I only use it if I am depositing cash.
