Hi am buying in Velez. Rubio and hoping tho spend 3/4 months a year there
Hoping to meet a few new people .What's the town like? Where is the best place in town for meeting for a coffee?oh yes why I am on I will be coming over in January to paint the house inside ,can I buy in veluz Rubio

Hi Janet and welcome. There are probably a lot more English people in the area of Velez Rubio than you might expect. We have been here a year now and still keep meeting more. There are various bars around as I'm sure you'll find. Ganimedes is good and Sabor when it reopens (hopefully soon when the owners return from the UK). There are many others including the Star Bar which is moving to opposite La Brasa by the roundabout at the beginning of Feb and a some nice Spanish panaderias/coffee bars dotted around town. The town is very Spanish with many fiestas, particularly the week long one in August. If you haven't already, go to the museum which also houses the tourist office for some info. There is also an English shop on the poligono.
Where abouts are you buying?

Well the house has gone through I want say without a problem but it has gone through
We went over last week started painting and cleaning I will be back again in May I do hope you get a change to meet with you in Veluz Rubio?
We have moved to Fuent Grande if that means anything to you iam sure it does .What a lovely little town Veluz Rubio is it was the first time I had been their.
