British / Irish Dual Citizenship & Applying for an NIE and then Spanish Residency

I would declare your Irish nationality as it will lessen confusion if / when Brexit occurs.  You will still be able to get Residencia.  As an aside, there is no need to apply for NIE and then Residencia, as Residencia will give you the NIE.

Ah, right.  Have you found a Gestor / Asesor / Abogado to assist you with this?  Not something you really want to tackle yourself ... even if you do speak Spanish, the sheer bureaucracy can be quite staggering and it’s well worth the money to have someone familiar with the process guide you through.  You will need an abogado for the property purchase anyway (NOTE: an independent abogado, not one suggested to you by the estate agents); perhaps whoever you select can assist with obtaining NIE, handling sale and then getting Residencia.

I was in exactly the same situation and used my Irish passport all the way for everything - my British passport is gathering dust under the bed (although I will always make sure I have one!).
