Hi we have been looking for property in the area with land and stables for our horses and viewed a property that needs some work but has plenty of land but I think it’s near the pig farm
Do you think that it will smell bad from pigs I’m not sure if they are kept in and wondered if they would be slaughtered there as I don’t think I could cope with that but like the potential of the property ?!

hi i dont know where the Casa your looking at is, however, we moved to Velez Rubio at the end of 2018 and our property is close to a modern pig farm. we to had concerns about the smell from the farm. we put a post on just like you and received a lot of negative replies and some positive ones. All i can say is that the smell from the farm is almost non existent. We do get a small smell now and then but hardly ever. An older farm may smell.more. If you live in the country you should expect some farm smells. if its a modern farm and your plan is to keep horses i dont think your notice the smell. we havent regretted our decision to buy here what so ever.
If your keen on the property you could always ask the owner if you could spend a couple of days there, im sure they would if they want to sell. we did and have no regrets. People will put negative comments about farms here, but in reality there everywhere, most of them are modern ones that are very clean and produce very little smell.
