Hello,

We'd love to create a small glamping site (with 2 or 3 furnished tents) next to our property. Where could I find info on how to get permits? I've understood that it's not easy, but still want to see what could be possible. Also, somebody mentioned huge fines if you're caught doing something without permits. How huge? And where could we get more info on that. We'll ask out lawyer too, obviously. But, I'm keen to know what your experiences are and where we could be getting more info, preferably online.

BTW: does anybody know why it is so difficult to get permits? I'd think that tourism is pretty much the number 1 source of income for the region...

Kindregards,

Luc

Not yet. We're coming next week and have several good options in Los Velez, but also north and south of the area.

Not too sure if Rubio is quite ready for glamping yet, tourism is a part of the area but wouldn't think it's the number 1 income, good luck in your search.

Thanks. We're in no hurry. And are well aware of the fact that 'glamping' is a relatively unknown concept in Spain. But, we're quiet convinced that sooner or later, they will get it and see the opportunity of a touristic concept that combines nature, sustainability and freedom with respect of environment (as opposed to the mass hotels and everything associated to that concept).

Hi, there seems to be a bit of a "glamping" set up, come small eco village on the outskirts of Huercal Over a on the way out of town South towards the motorway on the left, maybe going to visit may be a good start ?
