Morning all. I am retiring on 10th May after 39 years as a Nurse and my hubby Russ is retiring from tiling and designing/fitting bathrooms. We are leaving England on 26th May and moving into our newly acquired Villa in Tijola with our 2 Cockers Jarvis and Izzy 😀
Welcome to Spain we retired early here in November and have no regrets good luck x

Hi, my partner Pete and I have just bought a house in Serón not far from Tijola. We got the keys last month. We plan to take early retirement and move out permanently at the end of the year. I’m currently IM&T Manager at a GP Surgery and Pete works in a Refinery. What is your nursing background? Everyone on here has been so friendly. Maybe we will bump into you in Mercadona Olula. It’s where we seem to meet other Brits!

Hi Kerry
I started out as a Naval Nurse and ended up as a practice Nurse and finish next week. I also did a stint as a prison Nurse and a Senior Sister so lots of variety 🙂 Seron is beautiful and perhaps we could meet sometime. We're just off the main road before you get to Tijola ☺
Meeting up sounds great as when we move there fulltime we will have so much more time on our hands. I hope your last day at work goes well and is not too emotional, although I’m not sure if on my last day I’ll be skipping out in celebration, clinging on to my desk and the stability that comes with it (been there for 23yrs) or sobbing at all my colleagues I will miss. Probably all 3!
