Hi to everyone. Thinking about buying some property in Turre, first to spend some months a year and after to move permanently.
Could someone who lives there tell me what are the best things of living there and what are the worst
As well if they are many burgleries in flats that are not constantly occupied or risk of occupation.

The Bad
1. It’s a few miles inland so higher earning summer rentals likely a no-no.
2. Public transport almost non existent; likely a car is necessary for you.
3. Nearly everybody owns a dog or two and lives in an apartment.
The Good
1a. Property is cheaper.
2a. Lots of Brit expats, most of whom are helpful.
The Ugly
1c. Very little to do, unless you like walking in the countryside.
2c. You could meet me there.

I don't live in Turre, but visit frequently to go to SuperTurre Supermarket.
Turre is as Matthew says a few kilometres inland - about 16 minutes or so drive to the coast. There is a very large Brit migrant population there and Turre is well served with an English sports bar, SuperTurre which stocks quite a few English products, and a variety of cafes and restaurants.
Property is indeed a lot cheaper there than on the coast and Matthew is correct when he says its not well served by public transport. It always strikes me as peaceful, quiet little town and I don't believe there is a runaway crime wave there. Probably like most other places a lot of petty crime, but as I understand it, not much in the way of break-ins - I stand to be corrected by a Turre resident though

Welcome.. I moved from Mojacar to Turre about 18 months ago and love it. Mojacar is 8 minutes away to the beaches. Turre us cheaper to eat out and drink, we have 28 bars and restaurants. There is a great community here with a mix of English and Spanish. I read recently that Turre is the most popular place in Spain to by as it’s still classed as coastal but with inland prices. the downside is the limited bus service.

If you are looking for cheap property and a large Brit community, Turre is the place for you. So a bit like a very dry Hull - except a bit further from the sea.
