We are sorting out our healthcare insurance and cannot get cover for asthma which is a pre existing condition, so any treatment would have to be paid for out of our own pocket. Is this likely to be massively expensive or affordable.

A friend of ours forgot her up inhaler last year when she came on holidays. She had to buy one in the chemist costing around €90 if memory served me right.

The best thing would be to go into your local chemist with a list of your medications and ask for a price.

I showed my inhaler to the pharmacist and there was no problem receiving a replacement....... for €2, yes two euros.

Ventolin is very cheap, can-t speak for anything else though.

Good luck

Depends what drug you use in the inhaler as to the cost, as Puff said Ventolin is cheap. But I also have a brown Inhaler that has a steroid  drug in it, this is very expensive to buy over the counter, if you are on the spanish system and get a prescription then you will only pay less than 10%.

Hope this helps  Jenni
