We will be visiting near Sorbas for 4 weeks--Feb-March     One of our group of four has some health issues.  And we are all seniors who might need health care.  Are thee good facilities near Sorbas?

Soebas has a.Health centre.& A&E so you should be fine. Just don't forget your EHICs. You would present this & passport and Interpreter at healthcentre/ A&E if required. Treatment is free.

Remember to bring sufficient medication. If you have Smartphone then Google Translate.

Pointless paying for costly report from your GP but if under hospital Consultant then ask Secretary for copy of lettets sent to GP. This is your right and should be zero cost. The Interpreter could read out. Do not rely on Medical/ Nursing staff to speak English and they can demand an Interpreter.

We firmly believe that Healthcare here is generally better than UK.

BEST OF LUCK AND ENJOY YOUR STAY.

I was under the impression you were Brits or EU citizens. I think you would need to contact your healthcare insurance provider to determine what you would need to do if taken ill or require medical treatment. Certainly you would require to present Passports and Heathcare claim forms. Is there any chance your provider could send you appropriate forms in Spanish?

Unless you speak Spanish you will need to take/ employ an interpreter ( usually 10€/hr ) as could get complicated. Ask on forum for details of interpreters in Sorbas. Better to be prepared.
