We enjoy hill/mountain walking and would be interested in joining a walking group If there are any such groups in the San Juan de los Terreros area.  Thanks in advance.  B

Hi

I also enjoy walking and hope to start when we come in October. There is a Mojacan walking group who meet twice per week; they do have a website and meet at varying locations.

It might also be worth looking on the Pulpi Ayuntamiento as the Spanish also have walking groups that meet regularly and quite often in the evening during the summer.  It is controlled and has a patrol car plus first aiders. I’ve been with the Zurgena group on a Saturday Evening, Limeria on a Saturday afternoon and another one from Albox when I did the Almond walk in February. You have to register online and it costs €5 per walk which covers for insurance. When I looked there were quite a few throughout the region, you click on the link for whichever walk you fancy plus they do moon walks. The commentary is in Spanish but it gives you chance to integrate and see different parts of the area. There are usually at least 50 people and there is a card that you can get stamped to show participation and how many walks you have accomplished throughout the season.

I’m sure as more people move into SJLT, we could start our own once we get more established

Enjoy
