Thanks for this. Does he have an email address I could use? Regarding the stressing - I'm a fretter, part of my DNA,  Ha Ha Ha

When I first arrived in Spain, I sorted out my mother in law's residency, healthcare and other stuff. The stress of working through the bureaucracy is unbelievable.

Let the lawyer take care of everything. You'll be grateful in the long run.

One final thing..... Spanish inheritance tax.... Almost nothing. I asked the lawyer cos it's almost 30% in Denmark....on 100,000 Euros, my wife would pay about 1,000 Euros under Spanish law.

Thanks Enrique. I'm hoping it all goes smoothly. Was planning on leaving it to the experts, I have heard that if you make a mistake at the last hurdle with the NLV, you get sent right back to the beginning - Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect £200 as they say in Monopoly....l

Hi, just to let you know, the person I recommended has retired, her clients are now serviced by Lex-Fix Abogados y Traductores.

Dan Ogden is fully qualified solicitor and accountant, he’s already looking at my accounts etc. my original accountant introduced me last year, but I didn’t realise she’d be retiring so soon. Contact Dan at [email protected]. Tel +34 624 54 87 82

He also deals with resident issues too. Nice guy fluent English and Spanish. Good luck and happy new year.

I can second Miguel in Roquetas.  Absolute gentleman and been sorting my families tax, wills, purchases, power of attorney, bank accounts, nie etc in the area for several years.

His perfect English is a huge bonus and his fees are not excessive.

Many thanks. Someone has already recommended Miquel so I have already been in touch. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can manage to sort my finances so that I can move to Spain 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks. I've been advised that he is now retired, so  have followed up on the secondary recommendation.

I hope not, he did my taxes last week and I sent him payment.  He'd be quite young to retire, only 40 I'd say, we might be talking about different lawyers.

Either way I'll follow up and check.
