Hi, I im confussed with your statment.  Ive never ever known  English pub workers taking orders in Spanish, half of them cant even speak proper English never mind Spanish. As for Banks in England i have not come across any of them being closed during normal working hours. Maybe you live...

... or has been to a place in England that has its own rules outside of the rest of England..

Sorry, I was being ironic:-  23% of the UK population can speak/understand French, 9% can speak/understand German and 8% can speak/understand Spanish. The Spanish do so much better than we do, respect!

Unfortunately though, I was not being ironic about UK bank branch closures!

There were a staggering 3,303 bank branch closures in the UK between January 2015 and August 2019 — equivalent to 34% of the overall branch network in country, according to data from Which? cited by The Independent.25 Sep 2019

Hi Juanida, Correct me if im wrong but i thought there was an ALDI a few KM north of Mojacar.?

A few miles north of Mojacar there is a Lidl in Garrucha which may have been what you saw.  I've just seen someone say there's an Aldi in Águilas but that is not particuarly handy for people who live in Mojacar.
