Zest Hire car company

Hi,

Have used them many times. Last time 9months ago from Alicante. Unless they have changed, the hire included zero  excess insurance(claim back should you have an incident) and also two named drivers. The UK office was always very helpful and on the odd occasion I had to change (covid etc) it was never a problem and any payment quickly refunded. The car hire companies they use were equally as good- definitely not Goldcar!!

Many thanks for taking the time to reply, this all sounds very promising! I shall give them a go, at the moment the only company coming up for that arrival time is Mo-car, via zest. Don’t worry I wouldn’t touch goldcar either been stung once too many with those con-man! Thanks again for your help :)

Hi. I've also used Zest many times and can recommend. I've also used Mo-car when booking through Zest and they were brilliant too. They meet you in the arrivals hall and take you to the car, or they did when I last booked which was a couple of years ago now. They do the paperwork at the car and off you go. Beats standing in the queues at the rental kiosks indoors.

Hi Smudge, Many thanks for this info that’s brilliant to hear. Can I ask what happened when you returned the car? Where did you leave the keys etc or do they meet you again? 
And also on returning the car back to the airport where did you park the car? Was it in the rent-a-car bays with all the others? Sorry for the questions, my parents are due to fly out in Feb on a late flight and don’t like change so I want to be able to give them as much info as I can bless them! Thank you :)

When we took the car back we just parked it in the general car park and left the keys under the floor mat and the car park ticket as well. As I said, it's been a couple of years, so always possible that things might have changed slightly. I think we also messaged them when we left the car and told them the parking space number, but I'm a little hazy on that. Was by far the easiest rental experience we had at Almeria airport. Had used Europcar previously, but quite often a long wait in the queue, which you avoid using Mo-car. The guy was very friendly and spoke enough English to avoid anything being lost in translation.

We’ve been going to Almeria for many many years and have used all the car hire companies and have had more bad experiences than good, and most certainly had some trying their luck shall we say! So this may be the best thing to happen! Many thanks again :)
