Pat

Please, this is exactly how rumours, speculation and panic starts. You might as well stand in the middle of a street in Madrid and shout 'who's got Covid19'! Do you really think you'll get a truthful meaningful answer? I think not.

You are asking the general community a question that really only the people that have ( if they have it at all! ) it and the people that are immediately involved with them - ie; family and healthcare workers - can answer. And they are highly unlikely to.

Advice is to look after yourself and stop worrying about others. Social distance as per the guidelines, wear a mask in public places where you cannot maintain the 2 metre rule and wash your hands regularly and travel as little as possible.

Asking people to confirm whether or not some people have it will result more speculation than truth.

Stay safe!

regards,

Well truenudist  I don't think this is a silly question, which what your condesending reply implies it is. If I lived in Partaloa I would want to know also.

Well said Truenudist.

As you’ve said, how would knowing make the slightest bit of difference?  If it is really that important to be informed, those here could well ask the OP “how many people have Coronavirus where you are coming from” - just to be “informed”

The information itself is useless and is really only the business of those affected and the immediate family.  Trying to obtain this information borders dangerously on 16th Century witch hunts or McCarthy-era communist hunts.

To the OP I would say, as already pointed out, protect yourself, wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and rest assured you are coming to a place that has used very strict measures to beat this virus.  There are now more recoveries and less infected than where you are coming from.

Totally disagree Dario, by the sounds of it, you would rather bury your heads in the sand, to be informed is to be prepared and would mean you could take more preventative measures. It certainly isn't just the business of the family involved, this virus does not discriminate, it affects us all, so therefore all information should be shared. To compare it to McCarthy, well I am speechless.

I am dropping out of this thread now as I have better things to do i.e. wash my face mask and sanitise my hands.

Jenni

As Pat hasn't been online since she originally posted the question I think her actions ( or lack of ) confirm exactly what I thought.

I have no wish to be condescending but I do not subscribe to proliferating street corner tittle tattle. I can assure you my head is certainly NOT in the sand! And judging by the support both Dario and I have received I think other people have come to the same conclusion.

You are correct when you say it is not just the business of the family involved. It is also the business of the authorities who have to administer care and disseminate the confirmed information to the general public. It is not the business of the general public to be seeking out scraps of second or third hand information.

What I will say with all sincerity though is Please,

Stay safe!

regards,

TN

Prepared for what Jenni? How does poking your nose into someone else’s business make you better informed? How can you take “more” preventative measures?  You should be taking all measures ANYWAY Jenni.

As you say, this virus is no respecter of differences - but if we take preventative measures, knowing if someone in a particular area is infected or not makes no difference.

*sigh* you likely won’t see this as you’ve accused me of burying my head in the sand and dropped out of the thread (the digital equivalent really of closing your eyes, putting your fingers in your ears and going “LALALALALA I can’t hear you”). But others will see this and I feel it’s important to have a balanced response.

Some facts:

1 confirmed case in Piedra Amarilla. The person has medical issues, taken to Huercal Overa hospital by ambulance. I will not give any further personal information.

The town hall has been very good explaining to residents what’s happening. 2 bars and a community hub were initially closed. Permission given to reopen, but decided to remain closed until July to ensure the residents are protected.

Now you have the facts, how does that help?
