Yep they are - 28 x 32 if memory serves me.

Not sure about Mojácar, but there is a photo shop in Vera, opposite side of the road to Mercadona, that does them.

Alternatively if you’d like, you can send me a digital copy of a recent passport photo, and I can size it down and set them 8 to an A5 sheet which you can then take to any digital copy shop and get printed

Lucas Lopez in Garrucha tell them it is for your Spanish driver's licence though as they are smaller than passport photos.

Most private medical clinics will do the medical, then if you don't want the hassle of going to traffico, an asesoria will do it all for you, at a cost of course, varies but around €80 plus €45 for medical.

Pretty much any photo shop. Just tell them what it's for. I don't know where in Mojacar though, sorry.

Pretty much any photo shop. Just tell them what it's for and they'll do the right size. I don't know where in Mojacar though, sorry.

When I went to trafico in Almeria, four weeks ago,  they needed one photo and gave me my temporary license straight away. It's probably different if you don't do it yourself.

There is a photo shop across the road from the Parce Comercial in Mojacar that does them, just around the corner from the Koi cafe.

Update on that - VeraVision will certainly issue temp license if it is a renewal of an existing Spanish license - if it is a first time swap of UK licence for Spanish, they can only issue a Certificado Médico.  You then have to go (or get a representative to go) to Tráfico in Almería. &nb...

...sp;They will require two photos (which are quite a bit smaller than passport size) and your original licence.

You now need to wait one week after handing uk license in before Tráfico issue the temp licence - this is to ensure thorough checks with DVLA that licence handed in is not disqualified or suspended or reported lost or stolen (I have heard tales of expats wanting to keep uk licence as well so report it lost and hand replacement licence in ... this won’t work now as original licence is marked as lost on the system and it’s issue number marked as invalid)

Once you have your temp licence, it’s good for 3 months.  Your permanent Spanish one will arrive within that time.

Well is this good news. I have a UK License

but my reasons are as… I came to Spain for good last Sept 2020 and got my Recedency card. The card did not arrive till Jan 2021. All the paperwork was handed in DTG Almeria. But it was past the Cut-Off

date Dec 30th 2020. I have been driving over 50yrs and No accidents No points.
So can I go forward with what you are saying about my License.   I do not want to take tests at my age.  Any help PLEASE

TERRY

Unfortunately, as you missed the cutoff, the only way for you to legally drive will be to take a test.  There are “discussions” about licence equivalency between Spain and UK, unfortunately UK licences for residents cease to be valid after 31/12 I believe it is and there is no way an agreement will be in place prior to that.  Looking at the state of play and how “quickly” Spanish bureaucracy works, even if discussions resulted in an agreement by end of year (highly improbable, as it’s still just “discussions”) I’d be surprised if the ability to swap was in before June 2022

It’s not all bad - you can do the theory in English, and I believe there is a driving school around La Alfoquia or thereabouts that does lessons etc in English

By the main roundabout in Mojacar opposite Parc Comercial next to Sabadell bank there is a photographer he did ours.

an extention for exchange of your UK licence to a Spanish one for those with residency is now the end of February 2022.
