NIE number

Hi I lived in Spain for a while a couple of years ago but left to return to the Uk 

Is my NIE number still ok to use or do I need to apply for a new one ?

Did you have Residencia?  NIE is (usually) for life, but means nothing if you didn’t have residencia

Not entirely so. Your NIE number is for life and you can still use it for any financial transaction you do in Spain.

Yes - of course - I worded my response badly.  As Johanna says, you can use your NIE in any financial transaction here.

if I may piggyback. my other half resided in Spain decades ago and would ofcourse had an NIE back then, which as you say will still be valid. however, he has no record of what it is. does anyone know how we could find out?
