Hi! We are thinking of moving to Spain and starting up a Motorhome stop and Yurt business. We spent several months traveling France, Spain and Portugal a couple of year's ago it was Spain that won our hearts. We found that there wasn't many designated area's for motorhomes to stop and stay the night in Spain. Any advice if on whether or not Mojaca is a good area for us to set up this type of business not forgetting a couple of Yurts too. Thanks any advice welcome

I would say that it would be a no go considering the number of campers parked all along the seafront for free.

I would say no as there are lots of sites in mojacar and surrounding areas and a lot of motorhomes park up overnight along the beaches. You would be better to look at options inland as there are very few. We moved to almeria in a motorhome with 3 cats and would have liked more sites inland on route to mojacar. Good luck.

Thanks for you reply. Are the motorhomes parked up for free all year round?

They are parked up for long periods but generally speaking July and August is far too hot for some.

As already said you'd be wasting your time and money. If you'd done your research you would know about the moterhomes especially as you have on!! As suggested tyy inland. Good luck.

Yurts and ecological camping in areas like the Cabo de Gta natural park,  Las Negras San Jose areas very possibly a good idea.  Maybe motorhomes too but you'd need to check with local authorities.. like Nijar town hall.  Maybe the Sierra Cabrera too but  by the beach,  I'm not sure.

As previously mentioned..you'd be wasting your time and money establishing a motorhome stop area....there are plenty, and an awful lot of motorhomers park for free for 6 months over the winter on beaches, seafronts and coves all along the coast here. San Jose has a huge village centre car parking area for motorhomes....

As for the Yurt business......... June, July and August in a big tent near Mojacar.... no thank you very much.
