so Hi

I am moving to Mojacar on 4th Oct, renting an apartment initially with a view to buying a property sometime in next 6 months.

I am on my own so any social activities from ex-pats in the area would be of interest.

Looking forward to joining you in Mojacar and hopefully meeting a few of you.

All the best

Graham

Hi Graham. Welcome to Mojacar! I would like to invite you to come and try a session of Yoga with my fantastic group of Yoginis.  We meet every Monday and Friday, 11.00 at Mojacar Sports Centre. The yoga I teach is fun as well as challenging and is enjoyed by  people of all ages, shapes, sizes, genders and nationalities. I provide all the equipment needed.  Usually after class whoever is free goes over the road for a drink and chat, so its a great way to meet new people. You are most welcome to come and have a go with my compliments. At the same time you can see what else Mojacar Sports Centre has to offer.  The sports centre is in the Pueblo where the Wednesday market is held. Hope to see you getting bendy with us.  Best wishes, Sue Lewis.

Hi and welcome to Spain! I was in your shoes a year ago and it took some time to find things out, but here are some choices:

There are at least two walking groups that meets twice a week for a 3-4 hours walk in the mountains and stop for a tapas break on the way home.

There are a lot of cyclist-groups, asfalt or offroad.

There is a swimmingpool house in the Pueblo that also have workout-classes and a small gym.

There are english quizes on some pubs once a week.

If you want to learn spanish, there are classes free of charge twice a week. Ask at the tourist-information in the pueblo.

I am sure you find your way as I did. Good luck.
