Hi all,

I have the perfect space in my lounge where it has a recess for a log burner / pellet Burner with a new flue going up through the chimney could be installed.

Are these popular and needed in mojacar in the winter months?

The agent I purchased the property from said that a pellet  Burner would be better than a log burner is this correct?

Does anyone have any recommendations for companies who can survey and quote to Install one?

Many thanks Paul

Hi Paul, I help out a church group called Almeria Home Repairs. We go them to fit the wood pellet stove in our house as around November to the beginning of March it gets quite cold. I'm sure at this stage you have realised that very few houses in Spain have insulation and for us  having a pellet stove was a must. Let me know if you would like to contact them.

Regards

Jim.

Hi have 3 pellet burners all broken. 2 years ago I had to fit a new CPU on my eco forest buner at a cost of 675 euros. The New CPU is broken again. I find pellet burners take a lot of servicing. I would never buy one again. My eco forest one was 2500 euros when we purchase it. Plus you should have it services anually at a cost of 100 to 150 that if you can find a service engineer.

we had a pellet burner in our villa it was fantastic, heated all the rooms turn on and off when wanted and little mess to clear up.  Used a ash vac to do that job.  Never had any problems as had a battery back up for if the electric went off serviced by Acar every year not expensive to do and worth every penny in the winter months.

Acar are very good and speak english they will also store bulk buy pellets for you if you don't have the room for more than a bag at home.
