As a UK non resident owning a Spanish plated car, can I insure a family member to drive it when they visit? Thank you.

You will probably find that your insurance covers any driver over a certain age. It's normally the vehicle that is insured in Spain not the driver.
If we have someone driving our car we give them a letter of authorization which saves problems should the Guardia stop them.

Los that is correct,I own a Spanish car and my wife is also covered to drive it..in Spain its the car that's covered.
