Hi , I'm currently living in my camper van until 17th Feb , when I return to the UK.  Does anyone know how the Covid restrictions affect - van life travel in Almeria & Spain ?

All the very best,  Andy

well Andy you should not be travelling around now but be stationary in one of the camping areas.  If you encounter any police when you are driving they will probably tell you to go to one and stay there until the 15 day period of confinement to areas is over.  this is the downside of the supposed freedom to travel wherever you wanted to before.    I noticed as well that in Garrucha they have put signs up in the port car park area where the lorry tunnel is saying no motorhomes, last year you couldn't park there because it was full of them.

Hi Alicia , thanks for the info & quick response

I visited the Sierra Nevada  mountains justo before the recent travel restrictions. Miles from human habitation.  As far as you know Is travel permitted in 15 days ?

if the contagion rate goes down then they should lift the restrictions on the borders and the municipalities  of the villages that are high at the moment.  if you have access to LaVoz it will keep you up to date.  As you say the mountains are so free of people but bit snowy and cold at the moment.

same to you Andy just don't forget that you now need a Covid Negative test 72hrs before you return to the UK and you will have to self isolate for 10 days as well.  Another problem for you to deal with unless it's changed before the 17th of course.

Hi Andy might be worth signing up for the email alerts from the UK.  They will then send you a message when there are any changes to the rules around travel ie what test/restrictions are current.  Regards Karen
