Old batteries

Does anybody know where to get rid of old batteries??? Like for clocks, tv commands etc.
You can place old batteries in the base of the signage by Lopez store on the playa or the one by the Vera concrete sign at the Garrucha end of the promenade by the car park on the beach. Or most supermarkets have a collection box in their flyers.
