Hi all we have arrived today 19th and there seems to be no water supply to our property!! Do the supply people turn off the water sometimes in summer for a period of time? Strange question I know but just wanted to rule that one out as a possibility.  Many thanks

1. Water supply cut-offs in Mojacar are not unusual.

2. If there is not a key to the water meter available, you can open the "water" door with a thin pliers. If you want to buy a key it will cost about €2.00 in Lopez or any ferretería (hardware shop). If the water has been turned off by the owner, it is only a case of turning a lever to have the water flow resume.

3. Ask any neighbour about the water (if they've none then it is probably a maintenance problem which is usually resolved within hours).

Are you in an apartment or detached rural? We didn't have water on one occasion but the supplier sent a man who located and turned the mains tap on the block we share with neighbouring properties.  Seems it got turned off by mistake.  There was no charge for the call out which was a pleasant surprise.  It'd have been 60quid in UK.

Hi we are in a rural location. We have been told that on occasions it does go off. Something we will have to get used to. Thanks for replying though. It's very helpful as we are new to all these things.
