Hi,

has anyone got any advice regarding preschools in huercal-overa?

My daughter 2yrs old is currently at Chuchuwa. Can anyone tell me how their system works. Ie when is beginning of term? Although my daughter is only two I believe she can now move onto a preschool?

Trying to find names of schools, how it works here and what the best schools are in the area?

So if there are any parents out there that can help, I'd be very great full. We live in Puertecico.

Very great full in advance

Abby x

hiya abby... nearest school for your daughter would be Santa Maria de Nieva... they can start school the year they turn 3, so depending on if shes 3 this year or next will depend on when she can start... if shes 3 this year you need to register her at SEDE near Las Vegas restaurant behind the hospital, its usually aroung may/jun just before they finish, if shes not 3 till next year she needs to wait till the following sept..... she doesnt have to go the Nieva though you can choose to send her to Huercal Overa, but im not sure the process of that as my boy goes to nieva at momento.

hope that helps

Karen

Karen,

That's very helpful indeed! Thank you. She's 3 in November and I was getting a tad panicky as I know schools here register quite early.

Can you tell me a little about your experiences with your boys going to Saint Maria? Mums know best I find!!

Thanks again

A x

She can start this sept then, it's a nice little school. On the right as you exit Nieva,  there's only 2 classes which serve about 22 children.. 3-9 and 9-12 the they go to big school.  The small ones teacher has been here 2 years but they do change he often, my son antonio has had 8 different teachers for the 9 years he's been there.. they start at 9 have a break for desayuno 11.30-12.00 and finish at 14.00.

Each child has their own merit so if they work well they will advance,  if they don't do well.they will be held back.. they have report and meeting with teacher after each trimester.. normally xmas, easter and finish... that's when you find out if they are ok or not.

What else ..... oh it's a spanish school, not bilingual but they do do English classes although from experience they're not much cop..

Cant think of anything else just now but you're quite welcome to message me on email if you want think of anything you want to ask... [email protected]

No this is just to tell you it's time to register. .you need to go to the rural school office which is in ho.. trying to think of easiest way to explain. .. theres 2 ways to get there... go down down side of hospital, past authopedic shop there's a park on your left, turn jusy after the park and sede is infront of you... Other way is... if petrol station at bottom of town with car washes... go past that, first left, las vegas restaurant on your left,  2nd right in front of park, sede infront of you.... I can meet you one morning if your not sure...gimmi a whatsapp 622553559 karen
