If I do it I would do it all legal and above board. I don't want to cut corners, I would want to do it right.
Thanks for all the advice and help

You’re welcome Nick - good luck
There is a small store in the Torrecadanes shopping centre where you can have plans draw up for kitchens, wardrobes etc. but that is all they do.
We were told the same as others the plan for store in Almeria has been scrapped.
Regards
Jackie
Ikea already do delivery and have reduced their prices for delivery to Almeria. I think it's something like 65 Euros for delivery of furniture and between 7 and 8 euros for lightweight items up to a certain weight, by messenger service. It's all on their web page. Also the prices are quoted if you need the items assembling on delivery. There is also a private firm who has been doing the same thing but they don't deliver to your house and you've got to go to Roquetas to pick the things. There's absolutely no advantage to that now that Ikea have lowered their delivery prices.
Also, the store in Almeria will not happen for the moment according to local recent press reports because Ikea have shelved plans to open any new stores in Spain for the moment. The little kiosk in the Torrecardenas Shopping Centre for interior planning is all that we are getting for this year I'm afraid!

I have no business interests in Leroy Merlin.
Leroy Merlin has a big store near Centro Comercial in Roquetas. Not as big as IKEA, of course, but they offer a (paid) delivery and design service. You can look at bathroom, bedroom and kitchen designs and get a good idea of the costs and how they would look in your place.
If you register your address with them they'll contact you from time to time with offers of 15% off everything in store.
They stock a very comprehensive range of hardware, including electrical and plumbing fittings and tools. Virtually everything you need to reform or repair your place is available ex-stock.
