Have you worked out how to get your PCR Covid test in time to show the negative result in Portsmouth before Brittany Ferries allow you to board, but taking the test no more than 72 hours before you arrive in Santander?  We concluded that this was impossible, so had to return via Eurotunnel a...

...nd France.  France will accept an antigen test which is far quicker and cheaper.

Yes we have already used a pay for" Flt to travel" service which worked ok, so we will use the service again, albeit costly (£129 each) comes with a travel certificate, so will wait and see what will be required nearer the time

Do you have details of this, please?  We couldn't find any service that would fit the timeframe necessary for the ferry, and I don't think the requirement is going to go away in the short term.

This is the company we used previously to enable us to fly out, there are a few options, ie...you can attend their site and have it done there and then, hope this helps

we Have booked into Hotel Tudanca-Aranda II  at Aranda de Duero  (just a couple of minutes from motorway) which is dog friendly and has fenced off  exercise area for them, it looks ok, basic but comfortable, if anyone has stayed there do let me know what you thought of it

Many Thanks

We usualy stay at Miraseirra but last time it was fully booked so plumed for hotel Tudanca and was very disappointed compared with Mirasierra would not use it again

Hi

We stay at Hotel Mirasierra, at Santo Tome Del Puert, J99 on A1, 3.5 hrs south of Santander. Pet friendly rooms with good local walks, very good on site resturant, on motorway but no noise. Stayed here many times and well used by travellers using ferry. Locked car park for security.

James

We also use this hotel when we travel. Very highly recommended, we plan our journeys with our three dogs around our stay there.

Glad some other travellers enjoy this hotel, they need all the help they can get at present. We travelled to uk early december and they only opened through week as insufficient trade on a weekend.

I regularly stay at either this hotel or El Lagar de Milagros a few miles further down at junction 146. Both are clean and relatively comfortable, but there’s no doubt in my mind that the rooms allocated for dog owners are less fancy than others in the hotel.  But the restaurants at both are absolutely superb, particularly if you like milk-fed lamb. I have not tried Mirasierra so can’t compare, but may give it a go the next time I’m travelling to my brother in Asturias, particularly as I see from their website that they do cochinillo!

I used booking.com which gave you pet friendly hotels. I paid an extra 10 euros for the dog.
