We are looking to move to Spain early next year and have been looking at Arboleas and Hercule Overa. We have grown up children and grandchildren and would love to be close to lots of restaurants, Pubs etc and things for the grandchildren. We would love for the amenities to be open all year round.
Is this a good place to move?

Arboleas is a village area with various bars and restaurants in the different parts a lot more there now than there was when we first came 17 years ago. Hervcal Overal is a Spanish town with again lots of places and a shopping centre road. It depends what you expect if you want English then Arboleas will deliver but the town has more Spanish places.
Both stay open all year round as they are residencial areas not reliant on tourism. Depends how old your grand children are of course. If older they will probably prefer the coastal bars and disco places but that means travel by car to get there.

What about closer to the sea and beautiful beaches. San Juan de Los Terreros and Mar de Pulpi have amenities open all year round and good range of restaurants, supemarkets etc. Lots of beach activities in the summer months. Nearby villages are also a bit cheaper to buy such as Los Lobos Guazamara, Palomares.
