Which is the best way to refill a pool mains water or tanker
Hi
Believe mains water is legal & way less expensive & anxiety provoking.
Check with Water Company & spread over billing periods.
Obviously if finance not a constraint then tankers which will fill in a day or less.

Filling the pool from the tap is by far the cheapest way, all in about 2/3days, the water suppliers in Vera, have confirmed that you can use the tap water for whatever you want, but they will notice the sudden increase when they read your counter and normally ask that if you have a leak in your supply you get it fixed or they will do it.
The following reading would then be back to normal use after the pool filling.
Hi,
Someone posted on another Forum that it cost them 97€ to fill from tap & 220€ by tanker.
And yet we still have people contending it's illegal. If still concerned check with your water supplier.
So frustrating.

We went to Cars Services in La Alfoquia to ask them to ring Galesa for us; Cats said they had rung before and it is now ok to fill from home. We also said about spreading the water usage over two periods and they said it made no difference but we would get a letter as sudden use of water would indicate a leak.
That was around 10th April; we are still waiting for a letter and the next water bill!!
The letter is an informal reminder to you that you have suddenly used more water than normal, it is enclosed with your bill which is normally every 8 weeks here in Vera, no panic it's not special you will get your water bill as per normal.

If you use Tap Water it is definitely cheaper to spread the fill over two billing periods. Galasa have a 3 tier charging system. If you get bills two monthly it is .€0.74 per m3 (cubic meter) for first 20. Then €1.85 per m3 for next 10. Then €2.79 per m3 after that. If you are billed monthly the Cubic meter allowances are half of that. But obviously the rate per cubic meter is still the same.
