Hi how do the road tolls work out which roads have them an which don’t?

If it has a “P” in the road label i.e. AP-7, that means “Peaje”, which is “Toll”. Avoid “AP” routes.
they are specific built roads for easy driving between areas which can be useful if you wish to avoid traffic. Some are more expensive than others. We always use them on the drive up to Bilbao as it makes for a quiet drive away from the lorries.
