Hi Mariel

If you order from Amazon.es, they often give you a choice of pick-up places in your area.  However, if the item is large or quite heavy, they deliver to your address or an alternative which you might prefer.  The other option is to go to the office of the package delivery company in Huercal Overa.  I'm afraid they don't speak English as the company,  called SEUR leaves a lot to be desired if your address is anything other than straightforward!   GPS does not seen to exist for them.

Oh, you might find that since the Covid problem, the pickup places, which can often be post offices, don't seem to be offered as an option which is a shame.

That's ok Marie.  I forgot to say that M&S also use SEUR in Spain also but it's either your home or, if they can, they get you to pick up the package at Huercal Overa and no other option.  You usually get an email to say when they are delivering with tracking.

IKEA use ASM usually for their packet service where I live and they are great for delivery I found.  The two types of online purchase is all explained on the IKEA web page.  Larger items are delivered by Ikea's transporter vehicle and prices are on the website and depend on the size of order.

Small items your order on internet thankfully often arrive by postal service.  If have to pick up a parcel at Huercal Overa though, don't forget to take your order reference and ID/passport to SEUR"s office.  - and permission and ID if it's not the same person who's name is on the order.

Hi welcome

It may be worth considering renting a post box. We have lived here in Vera Playa for 8 years and although letters or anything small enough to fit in a letter box has never been a problem having parcels delivered was a bit of a problem. We paid 50 euros a year for a box at Forget me Not Bougainvillea

Roundabout and it has been well worth it. The lady in the shop emails you on arrival with a photo of the package and then you pop down to collect it when you can. If it's big she asks that you collect it asap as she has limited space.

Very efficient and in my opinion well worth the money.

Antas Post Office like all post offices, will have buzones available should Marie need a post box where she lives and they might charge less, but in any case this will only suit for items that fit in it.

Yes the reason we rented a box at Forget me not is that they accept parcels of any size.
