Hi,
My wife and I are both retired and have live in Spain since December. We have an application submitted for residency, we also have the S1 certificate but our EHIC is now out of date and we would like to get vaccinated against covid. The place for the vaccination is the stadium in Almeria city but I have no idea how to make an appointment. I would appreciate any information on this.

You should get a message saying they'll get back to you. Then you should get an appointment.
Alternatively, if you use Facebook you can contact the Junta de Andalucía, Salud website via messenger or even looked at the vaccine info on there. Some areas were showing that you could turn up and request a vaccine. Obviously take as much paperwork with you as you can.

As you have the S1 you should register with a local state clinic as patients ASAP. You may need to do this via your local INSS office with your S1s. The EHIC is for tourists and not valid for residents here but as you are ‘pending’ residence it might be handy.
Once you are registered at a clinic you should be able to leave contact details with them (Spanish tel number) and then the vax service should contact you. If you ask they will get someone that speaks English to ring you.

Evening, Thanks for the advice that you both sent me. I tried several times to contact everyone as advised and got absolutely no where. So being a crabby Scotsman I drove my wife and myself on our trike down to the sports complex, parked it at the front door more or less and came out half an hour later having had the Johnston & Johnston vaccination. I hope that there eventually comes a day when I will be able to understand this country. Its beautiful but the lack of response that you get is bloody frustrating.
