We drove down via Reims, Dijon and Lyon. It was the first time we’d done it and the roads were so quiet it was a joy. We’d downloaded route details from this site and there were plenty of hotels to choose from. Enjo

How long did it take?
We travelled with our 18 month old cockapoo in December and our first stop from euro tunnel was la maison charmante in chaterallaut, we then stayed at the Pamplona El Toro hotel & spa, next was in Valencia You & Co saler beach boutique hotel, all three very dog friendly, it was a good route. You could do the trip quicker but we had the dog and a teenager. Definitely glad we did it over 3 days. Good luck and have a pleasant trip.
