Is it possible to put a 2005 UK-reg motorhome (RHD) on Spanish plates?

...f us work remotely so don't need to go back to the UK essentially anytime soon. The main issue is the van and keeping it here and putting it on Spanish plates, but I've read tonight that if a motorhome is pre-2007 UK registered with a back door on the UK nearside and is right hand drive we cannot register it and need to return it to the UK once lockdown is over...  

Any advice would be fab - please be kind(!) - we know nothing about importing a vehicle into Spain as we didn't think we'd need to :)

It’s got nothing to do with age or doors. Spain thinks anything over 2500kg & NOT left hand drive is dangerous sp no metriculation.
