Hola!

Just had confirmation tonight (unsurprisingly) our ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth has been cancelled at the end of April.  We have the above with the back door to the left of the van.  I'm trying to obtain as much info. as possible as we're now thinking of staying put long term, both of us work remotely so don't need to go back to the UK essentially anytime soon. The main issue is the van and keeping it here and putting it on Spanish plates, but I've read tonight that if a motorhome is pre-2007 UK registered with a back door on the UK nearside and is right hand drive we cannot register it and need to return it to the UK once lockdown is over...

Any advice would be fab - please be kind(!) - we know nothing about importing a vehicle into Spain as we didn't think we'd need to :)

Gracias!

It’s got nothing to do with age or doors. Spain thinks anything over 2500kg & NOT left hand drive is dangerous sp no metriculation.

I am sorry to say I think you are right.. the door on UK nearside would be an issue.
