I am really sorry but we are talking of rubbish that has been left at least since last September 2019. And do you really think the following has been brought by the wind or by running water ? We put these photos only to show people how things are, not how they are supposed to be.

If that's the case, I  think that you should say where exactly these photos were taken so that someone else can report this to the town hall if you don't want to.    As for that last photo, people do have a horrible habit of dumping old furniture, broken white goods and stuff from building sites even in rivers and this is an offence  if caught in the act. However, once one person starts dumping, others see the trash and come and do the same thing unless the town hall sends their workers to clear up and put up a sign to say dumping is prohibited.  They did that near where I live a few years back but if they don't know about it they can't do anything about it.

Agree - I’m going to need to know locations where photographs taken if I am going to get any traction with Señor Alcalde José Carmelo

I agree with everything that has been said about the rubbish. I live on Al Andalus Hill and walk most mornings up to the Mercadona and around to come back out on the main road by the Vera Playa hotel and the rubbish dumped is appalling. Also you see many people walking their dogs and letting them foul anywhere without cleaning it up. I don’t have pictures but the mayor only needs to visit the area and he can see for himself. The landscaped the wildlife ponds opposite the consum which probably cost a fortune and this area s littered with rubbish.

I don't want to give a precise location for one or a few rubbish deposits because if I do so, this or these few places will perhaps been cleaned but the others certainly not. I don't know how long Mr Carmelo has been living in Vera, certainly more than a few months. I have been here only since September and could already identify dozens of places like the ones shown on these few photos. How many people work in the cleaning and environmental services in the municipality of Vera ? Yesterday morning, 6 of them were removing branches from the beach at Vera Playa. So I suggest Mr Carmelo to send a few of the town employees to look for rubbish, they won't have to walk far away.

El Señor Alcalde José Carmelo has lived in Vera for very very very long time indeed. As has his family and family before that.

I’m sorry, but I can’t just start a conversation with - “there’s piles of rubbish, you are bound to know where it is, but I can’t give you a precise location cos you’ll only clean up the bits I tell you about”

Bureaucracy doesn’t work that way - nor does diplomacy.  I really want to see Vera cleaned up, but if you are unwilling to assist with my request, then I’m sorry - you’ll have to petition the Ayuntamiento directly.

It's such a shame. If the place could be kept tidy it would be lovely. It looks like a dumping ground from all the pictures I've seen. Good on you guys for highlighting it. Hopefully someone will be shamed into getting it all cleaned up.

I just want highlighting rubbish problem.  The mayor only needs to visit the area WALKING or CYCLING and he can see for himself and stops self-congratulation.
