I read an article on another forum where somebody had made a comment regarding the restrictions for taking goods back to the UK. It was not about duty free allowance it was regarding cigarettes bought in a shop (effectively duty paid). Does anybody know if there any new restrictions given UK's new status?

Thanks

if you google it you will find that if you have paid duty and can prove it you can bring unlimited within reason of course for personal use only.

That is what I thought Alicia but then I read other articles saying that this has changed now, so I don't know what is true.

There is a personal allowance available, it does not matter whether bought duty free or duty paid overseas

It's all clearly laid out on this page, hope the link works

Yes. You are limited to 200 cigarettes no matter where you bought them. The pre Brexit duty paid rules no longer apply.
