Ferry to Spain

So we are thinking of driving to Almeria in August .
Best way and the most economical to do this from Leicestershire.
Advice on stops would be great .

If your looking at ferry to Bilbao or Santander, pm me for discount code. We use 2 or 3 time a year, as we travel with a dog. Use hotel at J99 on motorway just north of Madrid, 3.5 hrs from port, leaves us a 6hr drive following day to Huercal Overa
