I participate on this forum and occasionally look at its Facebook companion. It's uncanny the amount of people asking questions that nearly everybody else knows the answer. We're in a pandemic where thousands are dying by the day and yet there are those who think they are exempt from every restriction.

Is there a gene rampant in people that absolves them from obeying any guidelines? Or are they just plain stupid?

I agree this is not the right thing to do but I saw the picture on Instagram this morning and therefore I was very concerned that someone was flouting the law

No, nothing has changed.  They will be fined if caught and if they have repeatedly ignored lockdown, may be imprisoned.

They are morons. I really want to swear but I won’t with great difficulty.

I agree, sometimes i like to think that all people are born stupid because of all the stupid questions on Covid.

Don't they understand spanisch or don't they read newspapers or only look to foreign natoinal television that will tell you nothing about Spain.

If you are here in Spain, behave like a Spanjard.

So, I think the consensus of opinion here is that beaches are closed - well, not opinion, just understanding of the situation.

No, beaches are NOT open.  Anyone found on them will be fined; as has been pointed out, if the same people continue to flout the law, they are arrested.

I’m just waiting for the madrileño second residences in my complex to start showing signs of occupation ....
