My husband and I are also retired and have just bought a villa in Oria. We are planning to spend 5 months there each winter, so I believe we will also require residency. Can anyone tell us if the EUropean health insurance card (while we still remain in the EU) counts for health insurance, or do we need private insurance to satisfy the requirements for residentia?
