Just to add a vote for CAT services, they really are very helpful.  We have enough Spanish to get through most situations, but their knowledge and organisation of what you need for residencia, driving licence etc is really worth paying for.

Depending on where you are located there are several very good “Gestors” / fixers who can make the whole process so much easier.

For example , on mojacar playa next to the MAC’s thrift store is Salvador’s - Ana in there is a legend for helping, of course fluent English and they have a main office in Almería so you are met and assisted at the office there when you go over .The cost is very reasonable and worth every euro :-)

If you are over towards Vera there are some well respected ones there , and also in Turre if you don’t want to travel down to the playa. Cost wise they are all similar assuming you are eu citizens right now.

Equally , if travel no issue CATS is also highly recommended.

If you check various threads on this board they have all been mentioned , many times.

Good luck.

I used Pedro Cabrera , at the law firm CabreraCervantes - lovely folks. ( Under 100e )

Office just as you enter Turre from the Mojácar end left hand side .

I have also heard Golden Leaves in Turre provide service but have not used.

Good luck.
