Whats open and the weather in February in Roquetas de mar
We are visiting Roquetas de Mar in February to look for a holiday property.
What is open at that time of year, and how busy is the area and off course the weather?
Thank you

Just my opinion:-
Weather will not be good for all of February. However, you should experience most days 10.00am - 4.00pm in shorts and tee shirts with the occasional need for a heavier top. Nights will be cold as in cold. You will get a day or two of rain too. Swimming pools will be cold, but you should get a few swims in the sea. Not many people will be about. But, you can read your brains out, enjoy a few beers even though most places will be closed and you can explore more at your leisure.
Roquetas de Mar is a town which is certainly not completely dead in the winter months, at least not in the port or central or surrounding areas. The part of Roquetas known as 'The Urbanization', about 3 kms from the port, where the tourist hotels, golf and apartment complexes are situated, is rather quiet however with various restaurants and shops closed and the bus service very much reduced in the winter months.
In the winter months, the weather is usually bright but often quite windy in Roquetas, particularly in the part between the Castillo de Santa Ana and the Urbanization. You will need a warm jacket (and duvet on the bed) in the winter months. I usually don't wear shorts in the winter, but then I'm not on holiday and I feel the chill in the shade!
The most sheltered beaches are in the Salinas area and then down towards the Port. The property is cheaper towards the Port where there are restaurants, supermarkets etc, but the Salinas area is really handy for not only the beach but also the Gran Plaza shopping centre with it's Multicines - Tuesday being the day for original language versions - and the large weekly market, various restaurants and bars.
If you aren't too bothered about being by the beach, the centre of Roquetas is full of good very reasonable apartments, many with indoor parking included. Maybe your views won't be so good and there may be many ethnic varieties (or maybe not) in your vicinity, but you won't be far from the sea or buses, bars, restaurants and shops and all other amenities.
