Sorry but can you explain further? The NIE and residence are two very different issues. You can get an NIE without being a resident. But you automatically receive an NIE number once you obtain residency.

You can now only obtain residency (if you are in the UK) by applying from the UK for a visa, for example a NLV (non lucrative visa).  Then you must come to Roquetas within a month of arriving here with the visa and apply for residence at the Almeria city Oficina De Extranjeros.

You cannot come to Spain to work post-Brexit unless you satisfy very specific conditions - most jobs are reserved for Spanish people and EU citizens.

Are you in fact a UK Passport holder, or perhaps from an EU country?

If you can give us an idea of your passport, we can help you with the next steps

OK, then as a third nation passport holder (i.e. not EU) you must apply for a visa to live in Spain in your home country.  You would also have to apply for a work permit to allow you to work here.

Without a visa to live here and a work permit to allow you to work, you cannot stay here longer than 90 days and you may not work in that time.

  1. Yes you are right as you said, i also know little, like my situation i  live in Spain three years in this case, i must present a Prof which shows i was there in this three years, Prof likes hospital recipes or empadronamiento and i get all,   final is if you have a person who can give you contract of one year then you qualify to apply for resident permit.

Or, you get arrested and deported as illegal overstayer.  I have heard of the 3 year rule - but it is not set in stone.

With recent changes, you cannot get a job without proving you have TIE.  You cannot get TIE without showing you are a resident. You cannot prove you are resident without a visa in your passport.

Whilst you are from Africa, not UK, when UK became a third-nation country following Brexit, Spain tightened up the regulations across the board - i.e. for everyone.

Unfortunately whilst you might be able to get residency simply by illegally overstaying by 3 years, it’s far more likely you will be arrested and deported.

I’m sorry, I can’t give any more help regarding jobs now I know you are seeking work illegally.
